Continuing Education for 2018:
Please remember that two hours of continuing education a year are required by the Department of Fish and Wildlife. Due to low or a lack of attendance, we will be cutting back the classes we offer here at the center. If you have already taken our classes and need to find classes to take to fulfill your requirement, you will have to attend classes at Wildcare in San Rafael or go to one of the wildlife conferences offered by CCWR, IWRC, OWCN, or NWRA. In order for us to count your education hours, you must turn in a certificate or proof that you attended a Department approved class.
If you have family or friends interested in volunteering, orientations will be held the first Saturday in February from 10:00am to 4:00pm.
To attend a class, you must be registered. To register, you can call the office at (707) 992-0274 or email email@example.com. All classes are held at the center on 403 Mecham Rd, Petaluma 94952. Please see our main volunteer page for information on admission fee.
Wildcare Classes can be found here. The class schedule differs every year and will be sent to current SCWR volunteers. You can also email Wildcare for a current schedule. You will be responsible for writing down the class you took, the date, the instructor and having Wildcare sign it. The signed sheet must be turned in to us for the class to count toward your continuing education. You must RSVP for the classes you want to take. Please do so by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
