If you have been supporting or following Sonoma County Wildlife Rescue for a while, you know that we rely heavily on the support of our community and local businesses to make our mission possible. One business that has supported us for nearly 15 years is Palace of Fruit off of Ely Road and Old Redwood Hwy in Petaluma. In 2006, owners Gina and Ken generously offered to donate fruits and vegetables to our rehabilitating wildlife patients and have been an enormous support to Sonoma County Wildlife Rescue ever since (Read our 2012 Community Spotlight on them here!). As many of you already know, Palace of Fruit was struck by a car on September 12, 2020 and the resulting fire has declared the building a total loss.

Thankfully, Gina and Ken are going to rebuild, but they need help getting back on their feet. If you are able, please consider donating to their GoFundMe at
While Palace of Fruit rebuilds, Sonoma County Wildlife Rescue is in the process of reaching out to local stores to fill the need of our wildlife patients, but the process of finding a cost effective solution is proving to be difficult. We are reaching out to our supporters in the hopes that you are able to help us by donating food to our wildlife patients. Since the food we are in need of is perishable and we have limited storage space available, we have created a sign up sheet where people can volunteer to bring the food we are most in need of.

If you would like to donate food to the rescue, please sign up here or by clicking on the button below. To prevent food from going bad before we are able to feed it out, please make sure you use the sign up sheet. If you would like to make a contribution of food outside of the sign up sheet, please contact us before dropping anything off to ensure that we have a current need for it. Once you have the food ready to donate, please deliver it to 403 Mecham Road Petaluma, CA 94952. We've created a drop off station on the front porch outside of the center to limit contact with staff and volunteers. Any contribution is greatly appreciated!
